Toni’s most recent stage appearances include The Last Show with Roberto Pombo, directed by Jemma Kahn. Pieter Dirk Uys’s The Merry Wives of Zuma; Nounouche – The Side Show as part of the French/ South African Season at this year’s National Arts Festival (in collaboration with Fred Koenig and Nadine Hutton); Jenine Collocott's acclaimed High Diving; Grimm Tales at the Market Theatre (for which she received a Naledi nomination for Best Female Comedy Performance); The Fortune Cookie Theatre Company’s Coupé and The Travellers. For her performance in The Travellers Toni was voted Best Female Physical Theatre Performer at the Grahamstown Festival 2005 by Die Beeld newspaper, and was nominated for a Naledi Theatre Award 2006 for Best Female Comedy Performance.

Toni is a veteran Robyn Orlin performer, having workshopped and performed in over 15 Orlin pieces sincenaked on a goat at The Market Theatre in 1996. She has toured extensively internationally with Orlin’s pieces, the most notable being the award winning daddy I’ve seen this piece six times before and I still don’t know why they’re hurting each other.

Other shows Toni has co-created and performed in at the Market Theatre include fall, I catch you; Two Straight Queers (for which she won the 1997 FNB Tonight Comedy Actress of the year Award); and several Robyn Orlin pieces.

Toni’s most recent directorial work includes dancer/choreographer Nelisiwe Xaba's Black...?White...! (Premiered in France, 2009, toured Europe and played in SA at the Market Theatre, 2010) and Sarkozy says No! to the Venus(premiered in Paris, France, 2008 and played at The Market Theatre as part of Xaba’s Venus in2009); Robert Colman’s Fuck Politics, Lets Dora (2010). Toni has also recently been involved in directing Industrial and Corporate theatre.

Toni has a Higher Diploma in Fine Arts and collaborates with French artist Fred Koenig and together, since 2004, they have made a series of videos and performances as their characters The Voodoo Divas. They have performed and presented their work in Johannesburg, Berlin and Paris. Toni is also one half of The Fast Art Girls with Anthea Moys.

Toni improvised with the Gauteng Theatresports Company based at The Market Theatre Laboratory, for over 10 years and is presently co-director of the Johannesburg based improvisation group Causing A Scene.

Toni is a sessional teacher at Wits Drama School and the Market Theatre Laboratory. Toni entered the world of theatre, after completing her studies in Fine Arts, first through Costume Arts, and then she joined The Handspring Puppet Companyfor 3 years.
