RESUMERoberto Kyle Meyer

Roberto strives to generate a sturdy and complete performer's brand which constantly influences the creative and economic world around him by producing extraordinary artistic material both as an actor and musician. In 2005 he joined the Frank Pietersen Music Centre where he studied classical voice and music literacy under classical singer Jo-Nette Le Kay who coached him for 5 years. Roberto has won FPMC Solo Singer of The Year twice and graduated from FPMC in 2011 with both Trinity Guildhall Intermediate Graded Examinations (which he passed with distinction) in Music Theory and Classical Voice. Roberto won the South African Talent Championship short after leaving FPMC, winning the acting, modeling and singing categories. This sparked Roberto's passion for modeling. He has been signed by SHINE Models Cape Town and has recently been chosen as the runner-up for the national CSquared Brand Ambassador search 2013. In 2007 he made the final preliminary round in Patricia Lewis' Supersterre season 2 and has shared the stage with Jamali, Vicky Sampson, Ladysmith Black Mambazo and Freshlyground.

Roberto's passion for theatre began at a very young age. In 1999, at the age of six, he was entered into the Paarl Valley Eisteddfod, where he fell in love with the stage. In 2012 he commenced his studies towards a BA in Theatre and Performance at UCT specialising in acting. He is currently in his third year and has been featured in a number of UCT productions. He will be featured in episode 7 of the FOX drama HOMELAND and is also currently working on, Oscar winning director, Gavin Hood’s forthcoming feature film EYE IN THE SKY.
