James Reynolds is a character actor who has trained and worked both in South African and England. James has a BA(hons) in Dramatic Art from the University of the Witwatersrand and a MA in Acting for Screen from Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.

 

After completing his BADA James worked in Johannesburg, working on stage and appearing in feature films Mad Buddies (2012) and Mandela Long Walk To Freedom (2013).

He also wrote, directed and produced plays and theatrical events in Johannesburg and at The National Arts Festival in Grahamstown. He them emigrated to London upon acceptance of a place at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. During his studies he appeared in many short films and thereafter took again to the stage in various plays and monologue readings.

In 2017 he returned to Johannesburg and will perform in Ask Walter at the Sandton Theatre on the Square.

 

James is also a Writer and Director working both on stage and winning awards for his latest short film Exile Incessant (2016).
