MLA CALL FOR CAST 'TOP 13' 2024 Amkela had the fantastic opportunity to work with performer Bailey Snyman on a movement piece called Of Trees & Dreams. Following this, she played the lead role of a doctor in a workshopped theatre piece focused on the climate crisis entitled Escape to Mars. Amkela studied dramatic arts in high school at St Anne’s Diocesan College, where she was drama student of the year, attained drama colours, and achieved 90+ results for drama in her final year. While off stage, Amkela enjoys hanging out with friends and going places whenever she can. Besides this, she is studying for an accounting degree at the University of Cape Town.
