MLA CALL FOR CAST 'TOP 14'- 2023
Njabulo was born in 2001 in Port Shepston KwaZulu-Natal. Attending Athlone Primary School, Njabulo found himself in the role of “class clown”, entertaining both classmates and teachers alike. During his last year of Primary School, a friend urged him to consider becoming an actor.
In high school, Njabulo prepared a speech on “Dreams”, and the response he received from his audience, inspired him to reach for this goal. With support from both friends and teachers alike, who saw his talent and encouraged him to share his gift, he decided that acting was the path he wanted to follow. He wanted to change the theatre scene in South African and across Africa.
Leaving school, however, brought reality into sharp focus. Supporting his family became his priority and the dream of acting started to fade.
That all changed in March 2023, when a family member saw the MLA Call for Cast online, and Njabulo jumped at the chance to audition. Not finding a script that he felt suited his personality, Njabulo decided to write his own material. It was risky, but it paid off – he was a hit! Out of over 5000 submissions, Njabulo was chosen as one of the fourteen applicants that were accepted.
Ambitious, humble, talented, and tenacious, Njabulo is finally on the path to a whole new adventure.
