Bio:
One of South Africa’s hottest imports! Alonso Grandio is a Mexican-born actor with Spanish and Cuban heritage. He trained in Los Angeles, California, acquiring an Affiliate in fine arts and learned from top actors and acting coaches in the States.
He moved to South Africa with his now wife, Monique. As he landed in the country, he pursued and honed his craft like no other. He quickly started making a name with minor guest appearances for networks like SABC and Mnet. Still, when he landed the breakthrough role of Mark Perez in the acclaimed TV soapie Rhythm City, the South African industry began to take notice of his talent and natural charisma in front of the camera.
Ever since then, he has been booked for numerous roles and has managed to work with some of the best South African talent. Appearing on prime-time television and international films, it seems that there is nothing that Alonso can’t do.
The future looks bright for this young Latinx actor.
