Chella Ferrow

Chella Ferrow is a South African-born actress raised in Johannesburg, where she was shaped by the powerful storytelling of the Market Theatre during apartheid. At twelve, she played Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which seeded her lifelong love of acting.

She holds a degree in Psychology and English and completed postgraduate training at Drama Studio London. She was based in New York City for over two decades, where her television credits include Law & Order, Ugly Betty, and Gossip Girl. Alongside her acting work, she also worked in fashion, with clients including Saks Fifth Avenue, Tommy Hilfiger, and Vogue.

She portrayed Sussie in the film adaptation of African Gothic by Reza de Wet (later re-released in 2025), earning two Best Actress awards at international film festivals.

Now returned to South Africa, she enters a new chapter of her work, grounded in both her international experience and her origins.
