MLA CALL FOR CAST 'TOP 14'- 2023
Hlumie Moloi is a performer and theatremaker from Johannesburg. Throughout her high school career, Moloi has appeared in many school productions which helped her discover and nurture her love for performing. Moloi received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in the 2014 FEDA one-act play Festival. She joined her high school Theatre sports extramural programme which she later went on to facilitate herself. Moloi studied at the University of Witwatersrand where she obtained a BA honours degree in Dramatic Arts.
In 2022 Moloi took part in devising a production called Seeing Other People which was nominated for Best Fringe Production at the Naledi Theatre Awards 2023. Moloi has visions for continuously making theatre and the arts more accessible to all South Africans, particularly children, as she sees creative expression as being paramount to one’s well-being.
