Johlize van der Merwe is a multitalented actor and graphic designer passionate about storytelling and visual aesthetics. She earned a BA in Visual Communication Design from the University of Stellenbosch and actively participated in various theatre productions, honing her skills in performance and narrative.

In 2021, Johlize made significant progress in acting by enrolling in the Mentor Me Drama Programme. During this intensive training, she collaborated closely with industry professionals and demonstrated her talent in two mini-plays aired on VIA.

She is committed to self-study and research, continually finding new ways to enhance her acting skills. Her dual acting and graphic design expertise has made her a well-rounded performer, capable of vividly telling stories through a nuanced understanding of gesture, positioning, colour, and props.

Johlize combines her visual communication skills with acting talent, approaching each project uniquely and comprehensively. Whether on stage, in front of the camera, or behind the scenes, she brings a compelling and authentic approach to storytelling.
