MLA CALL FOR CAST 'TOP 14'- 2023
Louise Kathleen began her artistic journey in 2015 behind the camera. She studied cinematography at AFDA Johannesburg, for which she won awards and a series of nominations, most notably the SASC Best Student Cinematographer Award 2019. However, Louise has always felt a calling to perform from a young age and is now one of the 14 most talented applicants for the MLA Call For Cast 2023.
In 2024, Louise was cast as lead Kate Plum, playing opposite Alice Krige, in the film Mrs Plum, a 1950s South African period drama for M-Net.
Louise considers herself a passionate explorer and risk-taker. Her bold and confident nature allows her to push boundaries and experiment with human emotion, discovering new depths and expressions daily. This natural-born storyteller may find herself multi-talented, but performing is where she feels she can express herself to the fullest.
