MLA CALL FOR CAST 2024
Michiel Bester is a versatile and passionate artist dedicated to musical theatre and creative expression.
He honed his skills at the renowned Luitingh Alexander Musical Theatre Academy and founded his creative venture, ControlRoom. Through ControlRoom, he has successfully written and produced two plays, Ember and The Ridiculously Long Show Title Explaining What Kind of Show We Are Putting on with a Very Small Budget, and organised two charity shows.
His expertise in lighting design has been sought after for numerous productions. Notable credits in theatre include roles in Sound of Music and serving as Dance Captain for Come Together at LAMTA. Furthermore, Michiel has showcased his talent in film, notably appearing as a dancer in White Lies.
Beyond his performing skills, Michiel has proven himself a prolific writer, adept lighting designer, talented choreographer, and accomplished director. He embodies the epitome of a triple threat in Musical Theatre.
