Modise Motaung is a South African actor who was born in Soshanguve and grew up between Witbank and Soshanguve. He started realising his passion for acting after his brother cast him in a lead role in a church play. Receiving a great reception for his performance, Modise knew that acting was the career path he wanted to pursue. He played the character of Maphunga in a CBS production called King Shaka and also appeared in a Netflix film We Are All Girls as a technical unit team member. He also appeared in the local telenovela, The Estate (SABC 3), and The River (1Magic) where he was cast as a doctor. Modise has also appeared in numerous commercials, including Three Ships, Dstv (Pan African), Harpic, Nedbank, Carling black label, and many more. Besides film and television, he also had a brief time on stage, starring in a one-man show at the Market Lab Festival. He has also done an industrial theatre project, Pick It Up.
