Nancy Sekhokoane

Nancy Sekhokoane is an award-winning, trained performer, voice-over artist, MC, and singer. She is passionate about storytelling for a purpose. She is drawn to work that reflects the human experience in all its beauty and pain, while pointing to the available hope. She embraces opportunities to communicate substance, joy, peace, love, and truth.

Her work spans internationally and nationally, with notable screen credits including The Woman King, Redeeming Love, White Lies, Tali’s Joburg Diaries, and leading Netflix’s first African animation, Supa Team 4. She is known as the face of Checkers Sixty60 and for major local and international commercial productions, including a Disney animated spot, a Super Bowl commercial, and a FIFA World Cup campaign. She also has a zeal for presenting and MCing, having hosted major events, including the 3rd Annual Pingo Recognition Awards Ceremony.

Nancy has portrayed a wide range of characters, from royalty in African Queens: Njinga to slave abolitionist Anna Murray Douglass in Lincoln, to everyday people. A standout moment in her theatre work was a travelling one-woman production in which she performed 19 characters, confronting and addressing Gender-Based Violence and other issues. Her performances are marked by both versatility and depth.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Live Performance from AFDA Cape Town (2018), completed LAMTA’s Launchpad Musical Theatre Training (2019), and furthered her development through Acting for Camera courses at ACT Cape Town (2025). She loves continuously learning and growing in her craft, consistently seeking opportunities to refine and expand her skill set, be it through combat training, Shakespeare workshops, or dance. She also teaches others what she has learned.

Nancy is deeply committed to ministry, investing in creatives and facilitating spaces for performers and creatives to train and be equipped for their different spheres of influence. She teaches drama, public speaking, and other artistic disciplines at her church. Rooted in her identity in Jesus Christ, she creates Christian content that empowers and equips artists on social media. She serves through worship leading, as well as in women’s ministry, prison outreach, NPOs, and speaking - carrying a heart to see lives transformed and impacted through both storytelling and service.
