Rachael Saunders is a South African-born actress. She grew up in the Eastern Cape and moved to Cape Town to pursue an acting career. She majored in musical theatre at The Waterfront Theatre School, graduating in 2024.

She is trained in various styles of dance, with a focus on contemporary, modern theatre, and tap dance. During her studies, she participated in various one-act play festivals, devised projects, and theatre productions. She played Heather Chandler in the South African Premiere of Heathers: The Musical in 2024.

Rachael has recently appeared as Brooke in the US film Summer’s Last Resort, directed by Melanie Scrofano.

Rachael is a storyteller with a passion for creating new work. She has written, directed, and produced several works, ranging from single songs to full-scale musical productions. She lives to create and is excited to bring more stories to life.
