| Sandisiwe Simka is a South African actress originally from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape. She studied Acting in Film at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, where she trained in screen performance, voice, movement, character development and film craft.
During her time in Los Angeles, she performed in numerous short films and student productions, exploring a variety of roles across drama, comedy, and experimental work. She also worked behind the camera in various departments, including production assistance, wardrobe, and production design — experiences that shaped her appreciation for collaborative, hands-on storytelling. Since returning to South Africa, she has worked on both independent and professional sets. She has also worked as a producer trainee and production coordinator, further enhancing her experience in the local film and television industry. Sandisiwe is passionate about stories rooted in honesty, youth culture, and South African identity. She is currently based in Cape Town and continues to build her career across acting and filmmaking. |
